Prince Charters · Family-run since 1965
A calm 1.5-hour cruise off Huntington Harbour, a basket of rose petals, the ship's bell rung eight times, three circles of the site, and a certificate with the exact GPS coordinates of where your person returned to the water.
Who's aboard
Prince Charters was founded in 1965 by Captain Doug's grandfather, Rev. Gilbert Prince, who helped change California law so ashes could be scattered at sea. The memorial service is the reason the company exists. Today Captain Doug Prince and Donna Prince run it together: Doug captains, Donna books and coordinates every service personally.

“When my dad was put into the water, the first mate rang the bell, and we circled him 3 times. It was overcast and the clouds opened up right when he was in the water. It was perfect and such a magical moment.”
“From scheduling with Donna, to sailing with Captain Doug, Prince Charters was fantastic to work with. My mother's Celebration of Life/Ashes at Sea, was a lovely, dignified, yet fun event.”
“Their compassion and professionalism from booking by Donna to Captain Jimmy & his crew was evident and greatly appreciated starting with the first phone call until the scattering was completed.”
